Bloating and Trapped Wind

Treated through colonic hydrotherapy and nutritional therapy in Petersfield, Hampshire.

How Colonic Hydrotherapy Helps

Bloating and trapped wind are among the most common complaints Claire sees at A - Z Health. Colonic hydrotherapy helps the body reduce fluid retention and bloating, and is often one of the first areas of improvement clients notice after treatment.

During a colonic session, water encourages the release of gas and accumulated waste from the colon. As the water creates muscle release, gas and stool are eliminated.

What to Expect if You Are Heavily Bloated

If you are carrying a lot of trapped gas, you may experience some cramping or acute abdominal discomfort during the treatment as the water encourages muscle release and gas is eliminated. This is normal and short-lived. Almost every client says the experience was not as bad as they had anticipated.

Most clients notice a real difference after the very first session — less heaviness, less pressure, and a clearer sense of what their body needs.

Nutritional Support

Alongside treatment, Claire provides guidance on foods that contribute to bloating and those that support a calmer gut. An anti-candida and non-bloating food list is available for clients as part of the nutritional advice. For IBS-related bloating, the FODMAP guide is a useful reference for identifying food triggers.
