At 23, Claire cleared her own Atopic Eczema, IBS and PCOS through natural health and nutrition. She had developed all three conditions shortly after completing a first class honours degree in Fine Art. Medical consultants told her that diet changes would make no difference and that her eczema would likely be a lifelong condition.
She disagreed, began researching independently, and proved them wrong. That experience is why she entered the profession, and it shapes the way she works with every client today.
Claire has been a qualified Colon Hydrotherapist since 2000 and a Nutritionist since 2001. Her career began in London, including practice at the Hale Clinic, and at the Wood Institute in Florida. She then spent 18 years running a busy private clinic in Hampshire before relocating to her current clinic at Park Court, Petersfield in 2025.
A – Z Health was set up in 2007 with a clear aim: to work in a genuinely personal way with individuals, helping them navigate the confusion around IBS and nutritional health advice.
Every initial appointment begins with a dedicated one-hour consultation before treatment starts. This is not standard practice in the industry, but Claire considers it essential for understanding a client's full health history, lifestyle and specific concerns before anything begins.
Lab testing, where needed, is carried out through Genova Diagnostics (GDX), the gold standard for clinical microbiome and functional gut testing in the UK. Claire does not upsell unnecessary testing or treatments.
In 2024, Claire became Chair of the Association of Registered Colon Hydrotherapists (ARCH), following the passing of its founder Roger Groos. ARCH is the UK's primary professional body for colon hydrotherapists, setting the training standards, hygiene requirements and code of practice for registered practitioners.
Claire is a gut health advisor on the Goodwood Wellness Programme.
Through ARCH, Claire is working towards a formal IBS study in collaboration with University College Cork's Global Microbiome Centre.
